A preservative that isn't irritating to the skin or a cause of an allergy. A synthetic preservative used in amounts of 0.6% or less where it has been proven to be safe and effective.1
At Mary Jean® we use 0.2% in our products, as a co-preservative.
Additional Information
A fungicide and bactericide wholly used as a preservative in cosmetics by destroying and preventing the growth of spores and microorganisms that contribute to the deterioration of a product.
Listed in the EU Cosmetics Regulations as a safe preservative for a maximum concentration of 0.6%.2
